WARM BREW – THE MISSION (PRODUCED BY SWIFF D)
Oh God!!!! Today scratchtheblock.com wants to invite y’all to support and get familiar with a really realy dope hip-hop collective. We’re talking about Warm Brew, a Cali-bred hip-hop group that consists of Ray Wright , Manu Li and Serk Spliff. Warm Brew have an intricate flow and the songs are supremely melodic, finely arranged to remind you of how tuneful and infectious hip-hop can be….and….yes…it seems they wanna bring back the 90’s west coast vibe tipical of Compton label Ruthless Records ( Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony,N.W.A and Eazy-E) or Mac Dre,2 Pac,Ice Cube or 213. In 2013 they released the project titled The Ride , a compelling work that caught the attention of West Coast rhymer Dom Kennedy who invited them to board his indipendent label Other People’s Money (OPM.) . Ghetto Beach Boyz was the first opus recorded under the umbrella of Dom Kennedy’s label and it earned positive reviews from DJ Booth,Complex,Vibe and XXL and attracted the attention of nostalgic hip-hop fans, which felt in love with da balanced g-funk sound! Recently Warm Brew got a record deal with Red Bull Records and they’re working on da EP titled Diagnosis scheduled for July…but…don’t worry…they unleashed a new single called The Mission produced by Swiff D. Yezzir, Steve “Swiff D” Thornton delights our ears with a top-notch production where the harmonies are too tight and the sound better than excellent!! Swiff D is the man behind great productions for big names such as Diplomats,Talib Kweli,Snoop Dogg,Jadakiss,50 Cent,Method Man,David Banner,School Boy Q,Phonte. This year Swiff D produced a song for the acclaimed debut project by Kevin Gates, Islah.
