Texas multi-instrumentalist Sylvester Onyejiaka better known by the stage name Sly5thAve will drop in November the ambitious project entitled The Invisible Man: An orchestral Tribute to Dr.Dre. The forthcoming album , as its title suggests , is a concept work inspired by Dr.Dre cuts and productions all masterfully and brilliantly revisited in to a stew of great fusion-jazz!

Recently Sly unleashed the first leak titled Let Me Ride , giving to critics,music lovers,fans a tasteful and succulent appetizer , re-imagining Dre’s hip-hop classic.
Supported by a brilliant orchestra composed by drummer Sydney Driver,Indiana Grammy-award winning percussionist (and Snarky Puppy member) Nate Werth ,bassist Antoine Katz (who worked for the likes of Talib Kweli, Mali Music,Casey Benjamin, Maurice Brown and Gizmo),multi- award winning guitarist Matt Löscher and keyboardist Paul Wilson among others , Sly5thAve teamed up with Los Angeles goddess Jimetta Rose (one of our favorite neo-soul/r&b singers !!), an in demand vocalist who worked with big names such as Kamasi Washington,Shafiq Husayn,Madlib,Blu & Exile and SA-RA Creative Partners.
