GEORGIA ANNE MULDROW – RUN  AWAY

When you think about women of the hip-hop/neo-soul music scene,maybe you’ll start to list names such as Erykah Badu or Lauryn Hill but we think Georgia Anne Muldrow deserves a special mention.The Los Angeles native got a multitasking talent that makes her a gifted artist as songwriter ,producer,singer penning and producing for heavyweight artists such as Erykah Badu,Eric Lau,Platinum Pied Pipers,Mos Def,Electric Wire Hustle,The Weeknd,J*Davey,Oddisee,MED. Recently she released her last opus titled A Thoughtiverse Unmarred entirely produced by beat-wizard Chris Keys ,confirming her incredible artistry. For this selection we resumed the masterpiece titled Early a perfect example of her musical acumen,flexing an astonishing mature approach as songwriter, producer and recorder despite her 17-year-old. The track titled  Run Away is def real hip-hop music surrounded with neo-soul aura.

Last year hip-hop mogul Diamond D dropped The Diam Piece recruiting an explosive line up of guest stars such as: Hi-Tek,Kev Brown,Masta Ace,Guilty Simpson,The Alkaholiks,The Pharcyde,Pete Rock among others. The Bronx emcee/producer is the creator of dope bangers for Lord Finesse,Brand Nubian,KRS-One,Fat Joe,The Pharcyde,The Fugees and today we serve you up the track titled Pump Ya Breaks featuring three skilful female lyricists: Rapsody,Boog Brown and Stacy Epps.

Listening to the stunning tune titled Lawd Hammercy is clear how artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock, Main Source, Hieroglyphics, Erick Sermon, J.Dilla, Waajeed had a huge impact on his works.

ASTRO FEAT. BISHOP NEHRU – K.I.N.G. (PRODUCED BY IFE FINCH)

Two young and talented exponents of the Brooklyn hip-hop  music scene .Two compelling ways to reintroduce the “hip-hop old school”. Brian “Astro” Bradley teamed up with young emcee Bishop Nerhu to record da obscure track titled K.I.N.G. produced by South East London music producer/emcee/engineer/songwriter IfeFinch. The solid track is included on Astro’s Computer Era released last year under the umbrella of Grade A Tribe Records.

ALEX KAMAL – EX’S

Alexander McDonald hit our soul with his soulful hip-hop gem titled Ex’s. It’s an head-nodding and mellow joint that invites you to take note to remember the name of this young rookie.

3 STEPS FROM NOWHERE – MELLOW MOVE

On jazz-hop selections Black Talk and Walking With The Giants we highlighted the music performed by New York hip-hop outfit who goes by the name of 3 Steps From Nowhere. 30° Below Funk represents a project underexposed but worthy to be praised for the exquisite beats that absorb elements of jazz,funk and of course the tipical 90’s flow. We selected the brilliant Mellow Move that sounds like the forerunner of the music included onThe Roots sophomore album Do You Want More?.
