The first gem that we selected is Can You Feel It by Detroit r&b crooner Uncle Sam.  Uncle Sam arresting vocal skills blow our mind and if you are interested to find this track you can buy his debut self-titled album released in 1997 ,that received positive reviews. Currently he left the mic to found Life Savior’s Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia.

The next single is performed by new jack swing group Tony!Toni!Tone! . Dwayne Wiggins, Raphael Saadiq and  T.Riley  released in 1997 a promo single titled Boys and Girls , written and produced by veteran r&b artist, Babyface. We chose the remix version cared by mastermind DJ Quik (that appeared on 4 selections: Digging In The Crates Vol.3 , Jamz , Dope Shit and Beyond The Rhythm .

We want to suggest ya something from the debut album by alternative r&b singer SZA ,we saw her on Hip Hop New School Flava , with her collaboration with Isaiah Rashad. The St.Louis native singer has just released her album titled Z with the collabo of TDR rapper , Isaiah Rashad,Chance The Rapper and Compton emcee Kendrick Lamar. The project is earning so much respect from music blogs, magazines and radio. The album combines squiggly-sounds, nocturnal vibes and hip hop beats thanks the collabo of several producers with different backgrounds like: psychedelic music of South Carolina producer Toro Y Moi, Mac Miller,XXYYXX and Felix Snow (the man behind many downtempo tracks performed by Los Angeles singer Gallant). We recommend ya the single titled Sweet November using the sample of a Marvin Gaye success, Mandota.

Last year neo-soul/r&b singer Robin Thicke showed us anotha piece of his incredible and indisputable talent releasing his sixth studio album titled Blurred Lines, launched by the viral lead single Blurred Lines. We chose the single titled Top Of the World, co-produced by Pro-Jay (the man behind the sumptuos Tie My Hands by Lil Wayne).

Now we make a lil jump in da past in order to suggest ya a must have rarity for your own collection. In 1995 r&b crooner Montell Jordan conquered black music world with his debut album This Is How We Do It, that includes some milestones like: Payback,This Is How We Do it and Somethin’ 4 Da Honeyz. We want to share with all of  you the jazzy and soulful treatment remix by California producer Keith Crouch (Lalah Hathaway,Deborah Cox,Toni Braxton,Rahsaan Patterson) of Something’4 Da Honeyz.  Special guest , Redman.

As crate diggers, we wanna recommend you a 12” released in 1994 by singer/femcee Miss Jones.  What’s your impression about the remix version of Don’t Front cared by DJ Evil Dee?

The next track is by Jazz. Who is Jazz? Jazz is the second-half of the r&b group known as Black Buddafly. They were active  from 2005 to 2007. In 2006  Jazz or Jazzy launched her solo career with her debut album titled Oh Jazzy, a modern r&b album , with an impressive groove and a sultry voice & rhythm! Ladies, this is Make Up!

Talking about good r&b music, it’s impossible don’t mention one of the most respected and influential crooner, Donell Jones. We resumed from our collection a supa-catchy and noteworthy track titled Argue. This smooth tune is a flawless production by legendary r&b producers Tim & Bob.

Recently Childish Gambino dropped on his soundcloud a melancholy downtempo track titled What Kind Of Love. This wonderful gem reminds us Frank Ocean lyrics, so sit down and enjoy the quiet harmony of the single.

On December we posted Bobby Valentino last effort titled Peach Moon . The new project represents a change of route, exploring jazz music and realizing a mature and compelling EP, that fascinated us! We selected the jazzy track called Who Am I To Change.
