The Vault is the brand new rhythm and blues selection that includes many indie artists that deserve your attention, so take notes and enjoy the sound!

 

JOY POSTELL FEAT. SERK SPLIFF – SUMMER TIME (PRODUCED BY AIRLOCKE)

We start the selection with a brilliant piece titled Summer Time. Yap, we know the summer is just finished but this warm,relaxing r&b joint will make ya feel pretty good ! On da mic you can appreciate the delectable voice of L.A songstress Joy Postell and Serk Spliff over anotha impressive production by AiRLOCKE

SIDIBE – METAPHYSICAL (PRODUCED BY NICO STADI)

Are you ready for a new entry on scratchtheblock.com straight from Los Angeles? We’d like to serve ya up a tasteful dessert titled Metaphysical. The slinky rendition by Sidibe is able to take ya high thanks also a superb production made by Finland native and L.A based producer Nico Stadi. Sidibe’s soulful timbre  evokes r&b beloved icon  Aaliyah. This year Sidibe released the EP titled Metaphysical  entirely produced by Nico Stadi, so take your time to peep  out the project.

RASHAD – THE RETURN

Ohio supa-skilful producer/singer Rashad Thomas is one of our fav artists for his smart and always excellent music approach as trained producer as you can realize listening to Stalley mixtape Lincoln Way Nights as well as a great performer (check out his masterpiece The Museum). We’ve got the occasion to spotlight Rashad music on Turnt Up 4 Life and So Solid R&B and today we deliver anotha great intriguing track from his solid project The Museum titled The Return (check out also the official video). Currently Rashad is involved into Stalley debut album titled Ohio scheduled for October 27.

RACHID – CHARADE

Back in the 1997 when the son of the musician,composer,singer Ronald Bell of  Kool & The Gang , Rachid Bell dropped Prototype, a mix of downtempo,electronic music and r&b. Well, if his name is not familiar,  the single Pride will help you to identify the voice behind Rachid. Anyway, we selected the smooth joint tiled Charade from the moody and mellow 5 stars project Prototype.

OVEOUS FEAT. QVLN – FALL IN LOVE (J.DILLA TRIBUTE)

New York producer and rapper Oveous Maximus teamed up with eclectic musician/singer/artist Quetzal Guerrero aka QVLN to record a tribute to the one and only J.Dilla. For the occasion the duo resumed a classic Dilla production from Slum Village masterpiece Fantastic Vol.2 , titled Fall In Love. Well, what we can say, we can assert the revisitation is surely something captivating and really hot .

JMSN – STREET SWEEPER

JMSN is more than a simple artist!  Christian Berishaj aka JMSN is a gifted producer,multi-instrumentalist and last but not least a so fucking hot performer!!! His music is compared to The Weeknd, How To Dress Well and others but JMSN is JMSN. He is always able to broke the conventional boundaries of music, creating a seductive,sought-after,dark,contemplative, nocturnal vibe that engages the soul! Currently JMSN is working on his new studio album titled JMSN scheduled for December 9 and recently he released a sumptuous leak titled Street Sweeper. Check this out! JMSN appeared on downtempo selection Darken Than Wax and Streets On Lock

SUNNI COLON – JEZEBEL

On June we spotlighted tha talent of west coast singer/producer Thierry Tetsu better known as Sunni Colon with his exquisite EP titled The Els’s Flowers.  We listened to a lot of Sunni’s eclectic sounds that gained positive reviews by renowned sites like Hypetrack,Okayplayer,Complex,2 Dope Boyz,DJ Booth to name a few and we think he will be the star of the future thanks an impressive shiny talent able to produce and perform a lot of high standard music mixing mood music, electro refined sonorities enhanced with a lavish vocal prowess. For this selection we selected one of the most beautfiul joint by Sunni Colon titled Jezebel. Let’s vibe beautiful people….

FKJ FEAT. JORDAN RAKEI – LEARN TO FLY

Parisian DJ/Producer and multi-instrumentalist (he plays piano, guitar and saxophone) French Kiwi Juice aka FKJ released this year his project titled Take Off recruiting artists like Michigan singer/songwriter Madelyn Grant and the nu-soul producer/musician/singer Jordan Rakei (check out his masterpieces Franklin’s Room and Groove Curse). We highly recommend the good vibes of the track titled Learn To Fly

ALAUDAI – LOVES MEETING

The next gem of this selection is performed by Philly songstress Alaudai.  Loves Meeting is a compelling rendition rich of extra-smooth rhythm!

RACHEL FOXX – ROCK WITH ME

U.K songstress Rachel Foxx is ready to show ya her mini but intense r&b self-titled opus. We are totally fascinated by her sultry voice , in particular we love the 90s flava of the  single Rock With Me. People stay tuned , this girl is fire!!
