VRGO – THAT WALK

Los Angeles born rapper and hip-hop producer Tony West aka VRGO released his sixth project titled #yeahyeah that includes a collaboration with Stones Throw Records’s L.A based beatmaker Pyrmid Vritra. Hats off to this talented dude able the cook dope beats and raw rhymes. On hip-hop selection Boomfire Music we highlighted the hot joint titled You’re Sweet and today we selected the impressive That Walk from #yeahyeah album. Don’t sleep on it!!!

STALLEY FEAT. NIPSEY HUSSLE – WHAT IT BE LIKE (PRODUCED BY DAVID ‘D.A.’ DOMAN)

Ohio rapper Stalley dropped in October his most awaited studio album titled Ohio alongside his partner in crime, Rashad Thomas as main producer (check out his fantastic album The Museum )and featuring Rick Ross,Ty$,veteran hip-hop group De La Soul and r&b singer August Alsina. The Maybach Music Group affiliate gave us a special debut album and in order to celebrate his talent we choose What It Be Like . For this tune Stalley teamed up with Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle on da mic and Illinois hip-hop producer David ‘D.A.’ Doman on da beat . Relaxing and jazzy instrumental for da lovers out there!

RICK ROSS FEAT. BIG K.R.I.T – BRIMSTONE (PRODUCED BY BIG K.R.I.T)

Here we go with another recent release: Hood Billionaire by MMG boss, Rick Ross. For his last opus Rozey linked up with beats constructors like DJ Toomp,Timbaland,Lex Luger,Cardiak and Beat Billionaire among others as well as great hip-hop performers like Jay-Z,Snoop Dogg,Yo Gotti and Project Pat. We selected what we consider as the centerpiece of the entire album, Brimstone , a real flawless track with Big K.R.I.T  as performer and superb producer!

LIAM BAILEY FEAT. A$AP FERG – VILLAIN

Imagine a cocktail with the following ingredients: a sprinkling of soul,rock’n’roll and hip-hop…. Yap, this is the sonic experience provided by the music of U.K singer/songwriter Liam Bailey. This year he launched his album Definitely Now where his eclectic approach to music will broke your limit as an ordinary music taster,giving to you a proof of a wide palette of genres! Liam Bailey will give ya a powerful injection of energy with the single titled Villain, a perfect combination between rock and hip-hop. A$AP Ferg (make sure you to check out his last mixtape Ferg Forever) grabs the microphone to spit his massive rhymes. Peep the official music video.

JETPACK JONES – SUPERFICIAL (PRODUCED BY HANDBOOK)

California emerging rapper Jetpack Jones is building a solid reputation , flexing his musical chops over compelling productions by talented artists like Brock Berrigan,Don DiestrO and Handbook. We decided to peep out through Jetpack’s mixtape Jetpack Odyssey and select the captivating flow of Superficial. Props to U.K producer Handbook for the serious beats!

BADBADNOTGOOD & GHOSTFACE KILLAH FEAT. ELZHI  – GUNSHOWERS

Experimental jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD announced the release of the collaborative project Sour Soul with Wu Tang Clan clansman Ghostface Killah in early next year! Until now they dropped two leaks : Six Degrees featuring Danny Brown and the top-notch Gunshowers with Detroit emcee Elzhi. If you listened to the hip-hop selection Spazz , you stumbled upon a Ghostface Killah’s masterpiece titled Enemies All Around Me from Twelve Reasons To Die  with music composed by Adrian Younge and produced by RZA. Well, on the sumptuous Ghostface,Elzhi and BADBADNOTGOOD collaboration we felt the same noir and smoky atmosphere .

E-40 FEAT. TY$ – THAT’S RIGHT (PRODUCED BY MIKE FREE)

Bay Area’s veteran hip-hop rapper , E-40 , released this year Sharp On All 4 Corners (Deluxe Edition). It’s the third part of a trilogy where Vallejo artist recruited a large line up that includes: Kirko Bangz,Lil Boosie,T-Pain,Kid Ink,Adrian Marcel,Too $hort,Ludacris and the list goes on. We selected the  club banger That’s Right performed with TY$ and produced by Mike Free.

DRAKE – WORST BEHAVIOUR (PRODUCED BY DJ DAHI)

Step back in 2013 to focus our attention on Drizzy Drake‘s album Nothing Was the Same. For the third studio album, Drake enlists his longstanding partners like Noah 40 Shebib,Boi-1da to give us special joints like Started From the Bottom co-produced alongside Mike Zombie and From Time.We chose the extra-dope tune Worst Behaviour produced by Dacoury Natche aka DJ Dahi , a grammy-nominated music producer known for his productions for Kendrick Lamar,ScHoolBoy Q, Dom Kennedy, Pac Div, SZA.

DAYTONA – WALK AROUND (PRODUCED BY HARRY FRAUD)

Atlanta native rapper The Kid Daytona teamed up with super-hitmaker Harry Fraud to record a sick tune titled Walk Around. The impressive track is included on NBA LIVE 15 SOUNDTRACK . Make sure you to check out the visual via Surf School Recordings You Tube channel. Definitely one of our favourite gems of this selection!!!!

BISHOP LAMONT – HYPNOTIZE YOU (PRODUCED BY DJ QUIK)

Carson rapper Bishop Lamont decided to collaborate with an hip-hop legend,a G-Funk pioneer and most respected west coast producer DJ Quik (check out his last opus titled The Midnight Life ) to record an outstanding track titled Hypnotize You. Def off the chain! DJ Quik appeared on many selections: Beyond The Rhythm,R&B Trip,Digging In The Crates Vol.3 and Dope Shit. Bishop Lamont appeared on hip-hop selection Boomfire Music
