North Of The Sunset is a wonderful jazz selection that includes some artists that deserve your attention, many of them will be surely known for  veteran jazz audience!!! Press play and start with us a lil but intense journey into smooth classy music. Mood music in vein!!

As tasteful appetizer, we opted for a soulful and compelling performance by U.K native songstress  Tonye Aganaba . Recently we introduced her with the project alongside Dr.Oop, under the moniker of The Red Gold & Green Machine but now we focus our attention on her individual skills.In 2013 Tonye Aganaba released her EP titled Solar Twin from which we selected the touching vibe of Jewel Of The Moon, composed and arrangeed by JC Thompson 

Standing ovation for Ms. Mayfield !!! Tatiana Mayfield is a Texas native jazz vocalist with huge class. She moved her first steps with her group of musicians called Intonation, later with her new band The Tatiana Mayfield Quintet started to perform at several venues and in 2009 she released the project called From All Directions. Her charming re-interpretation of super-classic record by multifaceted bossa nova icon Antônio Carlos Jobim titled Águas De Março , is the unmistakable proof of her diction and intonation that intrigue and take the soul into anotha level. Less words and more music, enjoy with Waters Of March.

Houston actress and singer Reneé Olstead gave us goosebump vibrations with her self-titled album , overseen by veteran multi-award winning producer David Foster (Michael Jackson,Lionel Richie,Michael Buble,Chaka Khan,Céline Dion ,Natalie Cole) . Olstead released the album in 2004 resuming some classic records from the past, cleverly re-interpreted with her so amazing voice. Take a look to her self-assured  performance of Vernon Duke song Taking A Chance On Love.

Well, so sorry for the lack of neutrality but we have to admit that the following track is def our fave song of this selection !!! Philadelphia songstress Lizz Fields ,represents an artist with the qualities that we look for in a performer. She appeared on the third installment of Stay Mellow series and if her name is not familiar maybe is betta if you prick up your ears!! By Day By Night is her debut masterpiece , released in 2004 under  ABB Soul a branch of ABB RECORDS , and de facto it represents a distinctive approach to music made of  original blend of jazz over dark hip hop beats ,enhanced with her soft and jazzy impressive vocal prowess!!! For this occasion we selected the remix version of Say The Word . The too hot treatment has been cared by London based  duo-producers Yam Who?, composed by members Andy Williams and Des Morgan active since 2003. They gained notoriety thanks a compelling craft about their soulful re-edits and remixes as you can see listening some re-works that we selected for the selections Darken Than Wax and The Remix Session .

Recently the legendary veteran acid-jazz group Incognito released their last effort titled Amplified Soul, confirming their well-known quality and class. For the line up, the band leader Bluey Maunick, recruiting Tony Momrelle,Deborah Bond among others. We chose the vibrant jazzy sound of Deep Still feauring the luscious voice of Chiara Hunter, an interesting singer/songwriter based in London. Incognito appeared on our last jazz selection Da Jazz Hunters

On Re-Works and Remixes , maybe you stumbled upon a dope remix version of Erykah Badu gem, cared by Daniel Crawford. After the release of the magnificient jazzy project titled Red Pill , this month the L.A based musician/producer dropped a new album titled The Awakening enlisting some refined performers like Vikter Duplaix,Amp Fiddler and Cleveland P Jones that shoot us with his smooth voice on da track titled Home (Africa). The piano chords penentrates deeply into your vein and like a drug , bring your senses so high!!

Well, with D Crawford we introduced ya the voice of Cleveland P Jones!!! This South Carolina artist , engageed our soul with a particular vocal timbre , that seems to caress your soul. With a musical background influenced by gospel music,jazz icons like Ella Fitzgerald,Anita Baker as well as soul legends like Donny Hathaway and Aretha Franklin, Cleveland embodies the essence of great quality mood music, delivering impressive works like Ace Of Hearts, his debut album dropped last year, from which we chose the velvety Free Yard Sale.

Protland super-talented  trumpeter, Chris Botti released in 2005 To Love Again teaming up with several artists in order to re-arrange some records from the past. So ,on this project you can appreciate  Renee Olstead,Michael Biblé, Sting performing jazz standards in a smooth key!! We selected Good Morning Heartache a revisitation of Lady Day aka Billie Holiday record played by the queen, Jill Scott.

Illinois multi-instrumentalist/producer Brian Culbertson turn us on with his project titled Bringing Back The Funk counting on the collaboraton of several eminent singers: Musiq, Bootsy Collins and Ledisi among others.  Bringing Back The Funk is a celebration of quality music where his proverbial smooth jazz spin on the funk!!!Check out The World Keeps Going Round featuring the wonderful voice of neo-soul songstress Ledisi, fresh of her new full-length album titled The Truth

On one of the most acclaimed jazz selection titled Giant Steps , we selected something very interesting from Brenda Boykin debut album called Chocolate & Chili. The sensuous voice of this Bay Area queen, graces an album where spicey jazz are combined with soul rhythms in a thoughtful way! We selected the extraordinary joint titled Wonderful adorned with the righteous trumpet of Reiner Winterschladen
