Black Josh represents surely a valid choice if you are looking for some contemporary rappers involved into old school-esque sonorities. We stumbled upon his music on June with the impressive hip-hop tune titled Paul Scholes masterfully produced by Morq. Recently the skilful South Manchester emcee released his dope mixtape Blah Blah Black Josh under the label Blah Blah Records. We selected the track titled Eczema! CLEAR SOUL FORCES – RUNNIN’ (PRODUCED BY ILAJIDE)
This Is It Ya’ll,Jazz-Hop Hooray,Road To Hip-Hop and Hustle Bustle are some dope hip-hop selections where we selected great tracks by Detroit group Clear Soul Forces. On September we also recommended their superlative album Gold PP7S and today we spotlight anotha remarkable joint from their album Detroit revolution(s) . The track is titled Runnin’ and is produced by mastermind Ilajide that took advantage of a Dilla sample included on Dilla and Madlib collaborative project titled The Message! The same sample has been used also by nu-soul songstress Mara Hruby for her project From Her Eyes, The Roots on their Dilla Joint. The original instrumental is from a 1999 electronic record by Stereolab.
DIVINE SCIENZE FEAT. SENE,BLU AND BRITAIN PARKER – HAPPINESS IS
Brooklyn rapper ScienZe (check out his flawless project Ella) and producer King I Divine joined their forces to record two brilliant collaborative projects titled Divine ScienZe and Divine ScienZe Vol.2 . We are literally fascinated by this fruitful musical fellowship and we think our audiences will appreciate the single titled Happiness Is with a line up that included L.A underground hip-hop emcee Blu, Sene (known also for his seductive project with Denitia His and Hers) and the catchy hook of Britain Parker.

Back in the 2000, when one of our fav group, Slum Village hit the streets with their legendary opus titled Fantastic 2 from which we chose the head-nodding tune titled I Don’t Know. For this track the beloved Dilla used the sample of Make It Funky by James Brown. Enjoy the experience!!!
