The new jazz-hop selection titled Jazz-Hop Au-Go-Go is a gathering of must have hip-hop gems with jazz sonorities compiled only for your pleasure.

TOMMY GUNN – FEAR (PRODUCED BY ERICK SERMON)

Def Squad affiliated, Tommy Gunn kicks off this selection with a supa-dupa-banger titled Fear. The emcee (who passed away in 1996!!) dropped solid bars over an impressive boom-bap and jazzy instrumental masterfully cooked by hip-hop mogul Erick Sermon who included the joint on Def Squad’s compilation titled Insomnia.

THE PHARCYDE – PASSIN’ ME BY (CHRIS READ REMIX)

In 2012 Los Angeles label Delicious Vinyl recruited BBE DJ/producer Chris Read to work on a mixtape for the 20th Anniversary of The Pharcyde‘s Bizarre Ride. It was a fruitful collaboration and in 2014 BBE and Delicious Vinyl dropped a double vinyl 7inch of two superlative remixes of the most important pieces by The Pharcyde: Runnin’ and Passin’ Me By. We wanna recommend the unbelievable treatment remix of Passin’ Me By. Back in 2003 to resume a dope project by underground hip-hop group People Under The Stairs. Their fourth album titled …Or Stay Tuned represents something interesting with aesthetically and technically beautiful hip-hop joints.We selected Plunken’Em. PUTS appeared on jazz-hop selections In Stereo Smokin Session Jazz-Hop And Cadillac

OL’ BURGER BEATS FEAT. ILLA J – 20 YEARS

Norwegian emerging beatmaker Ol’Burger Beats earned his stripes with a masterpiece titled High Rhodes. The well-appointed opus unveils a soulful approach and a marked penchant for 90’s hip-hop beats a la J.Dilla. What happens if the microphone of South Bronx emcee John Robinson met the flawless beats of drummer, composer, producer and band leader Pat Van Dyke?  Last year the dynamic rapper and the mastermind producer joined their skills to record a collaborative project titled Modern Vintage recruiting some guests such as Sadat X of Brand Nubian and El Da Sensei. FREDDIE JOACHIM FEAT. SURREAL – MATTER OF TIME

Super-producer/DJ Freddie Joachim is one of the most prominent artist s able to mix elements of jazz with elements of hip-hop ,cooking top-notch beats for Joey Bada$$,Muneshine,The Upstarts and delivering impeccable remixes. ERIC B AND RAKIM – RELAX WITH PEP

Back in da dayz when east coast hip-hop group Erik B and Rakim dropped Don’t Sweat The Techinique. EAST FLATBUSH PROJECT FEAT. DES – TRIED BY 12 (ADAM KAY REMIX)

Brooklyn hip-hop underground producer Spencer Bellamy aka East Flatbush Project earned a lot of praises with the massive 1996 single titled Tried By 12 alongside his fellow citizen Ron Smith aka DeS. DR.OOP FEAT. CHUCK DIESEL AND OMEGA – JONESIN

Last year in June we introduced The Red Gold & Green Machine a group composed by Dr.Oop and soulstress Tonye Aganaba.Today we showcase a project by Dr.Oop as solo artist dropped two years ago and titled Mad Ziontist.
