Y Society – This Is An Introduction

Washington DJ/Producer and also co-owner of Redef Records,Damu The Fudgemunk  is one of our fave hip-hop artist of the underground scene. Deeply influenced by luminaries like Pete Rock,K-Def,Marley Marl,Erick Sermon he was involved in many projects such Panacea alongside K-Murdock,Raw Poetic and his recent collabo with The Star Seeds for their upcoming album The Golden Error , plus a plethora of massive beat-tapes dropped under the Redefinition Records . Damu is also 1/2 of hip-hop duo Y Society with  Boston emcee Insight. In 2007 , Y Society coocked a wonderful album titled Travel At Your Own Pace from which we chose This Is An Introduction.  Solid production,laid-back jazzy beats and dynamic scratches. Damu The Fudgemunk appeared on jazz-hop selection titled Jazz-Hop Hooray

Tha Alkaholiks – Daaam! (Buckwild Remix)

Back in da days when L.A hip-hop group Tha Alkaholiks spat their powerful rhymes. We selected a gem from their sophomore studio album titled Coast II Coast, that includes the collaboration of Madlib and Diamond D.  Check out the treatment remix of the single Daaam! , masterfully cared by Bronx legendary producer Anthony Best aka Buckwild. You can dig it, checking out Buckwild project titled Diggin’ In The Crates – Rare Studio Masters: 1993-1997 . Melachi The Nutcracker and Lil’Drap joined their forces to release in 1995 their debut album titled Livin Proof under the stage name of Group Home. The project gained positive reviews thanks the excellent production cared by hip-hop legend DJ Premier and features with Guru  and Jeru the Damaja. Suspended In Time is surely the centerpiece!!! Ge-Ology feat. Talib Kweli and Sadat X – Communicate (12 Inch Remix)

Baltimore native and Brooklyn based producer Ge-Ology is a prominent and much respected artist of the hip-hop scene. In 2001 Ge-Ology dropped a 12” titled Communicate recruiting Talib Kweli and Sadat X of Brand Nubian, under the label Up Above Records . Check out the ear-catching remix version!!! Fugees – Nappy Heads

Time to taste the flava of the music delivered by Fugees before they  became viral!!! In 1994 Pras,Lauryn Hill and Wycleff dropped Blunted On Reality. Maybe it’s not enjoyable or easy-to-listen like The Score but we appreciate the underground and powerful ruff rhymes and beats. Nappy Heads is an highly recommended track if you love raw rhymes.

Uncle Nu is delighted our fans appearing on a lot of selections like Jazz-Hop & Cadillac , They Want Mo Beats , How Many Mics . His catchy,supa-solid and lavish production is not be affected by time effect, confirming his class with several solo projects! Recently he pierced our mind with his coming back with Jurassic 5 launching the new single The Way We Do It and also with his new collaborative project alongside Slimkid3,Bouillon . 4 Hero is a U.K collective composed by Dego,Marc Mac and Dollis Hill and represents an esteemed avant-garde team producers able to blend a wide array of genres such broken beat,future jazz,drum n bass,hip-hop and also neo-soul. Two Pages is one of their most appreciated album released under Gilles Peterson Talking Loud (now named Brownswood Records).
