SCRATCHTHEBLOCK PRESENTS: DA JOINT
Yes, we have to admit it! Scratchtheblock.com has a specific inclination for old-school-esque hip-hop tunes. We grew up eating bread and albums like Resurrection,Like Water For Chocolate,Midnight Marauders as well as All Eyez On Me,Ready To Die! As from 2010 hip-hop music explored new sonorities absorbing different styles from pop to electronic and trap. Well, business is business , so it’s a normal process for an artist to think about mainstream music. Now, far be it from us to reject the entire hip-hop new school scene, but in our humble opinion it’s very difficult to find something really dope and original. On the contrary the underground scene is living a fruitful moment and it is bringing back the old-school vibe for our pleasure. Da Joint is a selection of brilliant emcees and producers who will blow your mind with serious and great hip-hop pieces. Enjoy the trip scratchers!
