 We compiled another superlative selection for jazz heads titled Creole Love Call with the aim to give ya the opportunity to taste finest jazz vibes performed by famous and unfamiliar artists.

SACHA VEE – PATIENCE

Some days ago we introduced to our family the name of Sacha Vee!  The blend of jazz and soulful groove straight from New Zeland is an attractive musical experience. We selected what we consider the centerpiece  from her self-titled EP released in 2010. Taste the jazzy sound of Patience.

RH FACTOR FEAT. STEPHANIE MCKAY – FORGET REGRET (QUANTIC REMIX)

In 2003 RH Factor released their first masterpiece titled Hard Groove. RH Factor is the brainchild of jazz trumpeter and grammy-award winning Roy Anthony Hargrove,who offers to the world a groundbreaking music with an ensemble that includes renowned names like James Poyser, Pino Palladino, Renée Neufville. With RH Factor collective , Roy skilfully explores also hip-hop sounds creating a top-tier opus and recruiting important artists like D’Angelo,Erykah Badu,Common,Anthony Hamilton among others. Well, we decided to spread the brilliant treatment remix handled by Tru Thoughts‘s U.K multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, remixer William Holland aka Quantic of the single titled Forget Regret with the voice of New York based songstress Stephanie McKay (check out her sumptuous album McKay) who appeared on selections Stay Mellow Vol.3 and For Tha Sake of Neo-Soul. Currently Stephanie McKay is working with esteemed producer Bob Power (A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu,D’Angelo) to a new collaborative project titled 2sharp9.

RAJDULARI – PEACE (PRODUCED BY AARON BROOKS-ROBERTS)

New York jazz/soul singer Rajdulari spreads some intense and deep notes of jazz and nu-soul with her outstanding single titled Peace. The interesting joint is included on Rajdulari compelling album titled Journey Of A Woman. For this single , Rajdulari can count on the support of  J Aaron Roberts a talented Boston native keyboardist and producer inspired by neo-soul prophets like Dwele and D’Angelo. Frankly we think Rajdulari is a blast of slinky and enticing music as you can realize listening to her album titled Honeywine.

KRIS BOWERS FEAT. CHRIS TURNER – WONDER LOVE

New York confirms it is the right place where jazz lovers can find really good music. So , here we go with another exponent of New York jazz music, Kris Bowers. On June we highlighted Kris Bowers’s lil masterpiece titled Heroes + Misfits and today we selected an impressive song from his album titled Wonder Love. For this gem, Bowers enlists the voice of Chris Turner,who enhanced the piece with his remarkable musical chops.The Oaktown native singer appeared on Stay Mellow Vol.2 and Mama Luv Soul.

JOOMANJI FEAT. SAARA MARIA – SOMETHIN’ OUT OF NOTHIN

Santa Cruz collective Joomanji is surely one of our favourite discovery since we started our journey with the project scratchtheblock.com. Their music flecked with jazz and mellow urban beats is what we consider “soul food”. In 2013 Joomanji released their debut album titled Manj from which we chose the masterpiece titled Somethin Out Of Nothin alongside the delectable voice of Finland born singer/songwriter Saara Maria.

GRETCHEN PARLATO – WINTER WIND

Award-winning jazz singer, arranger & composer Gretchen Parlato takes you higher with her sultry track titled Winter Wind from the jazz masterpiece The Lost And Found. Sweet soprano voice and skilful producer ( as you can realize tasting the sound of Sideways EP by Lauren Desberg entirely produced by Ms Parlato) are some elements that gives you the idea and the dimension of this eminent exponent of modern jazz.Gretchen Parlato appeared on Class In Session Vol.2 and jazz selections Rhapsody In Blue,Mood Indigo,Giant Steps.

FARNELL NEWTON FEAT. JARROD LAWSON – EVERYTHING IS CLEAR

Farnell Newton is a respected trumpeter who played with a huge list of renowned artists like: Jill Scott,Bootsy Collins,Liv Warfield,Mike Phillips,Najee,R.Kelly,Steve Wonder and the list goes on n on. His toughtful and creative approach to horns brokes the boundaries of genres…..so his music spans from hip-hop to jazz , from r&b to funk and latin soul. In 2011 Farnel Newton released the finest project Class Is Now In Session from which we selected Everything Is Clear with the flawless voice of Jarrod Lawson. We highly recommend the self-titled album by Jarrod Lawson released on May where r&b and soul are blended with jazz sonorities.

CHARMINGLY GHETTO FEAT. BRIONNE WRIGHT – SCHOOL DAZE (PRODUCED BY ZACH CAPNER)

Boston emcee Charmingly Ghetto decides to experiment something new with his supa-hot gem. Taking advantage of the support of  production and live instrumentation handled by Zach Capner and recruiting the sultry voice of Denver native singer Brionne Wright ,he flexes a new musical orientation with a compelling track titled School Daze enriched with jazzy fascinating sounds!

BRANDON WILLIAMS FEAT. ALEX ISLEY AND MOONCHILD – LEAVE LOVE BE

On November producer/composer/musician Brandon Williams released his masterpiece titled XII with a line up of guest stars that includes: Jesse Boykins III,Frank McComb,Pharoahe Monch,Robert Glasper,Casey Benjamin,Geno Young. We showcased B.Williams’s music on da jazz selection So What! and today we recommend you the smooth jazzy joint titled Leave Love Be featuring Alex Isley (she appeared on Stay Mellow Vol.5 and The Remix Session Vol.5) and jazz/neo-soul collective Moonchild (check out their first project Be Free and the sophomore album Please Rewind).You can listen to Moonchild’s music on selections: So Soulful,Jazz On Da Block and Da Jazz Season

ANEESA STRINGS – SIMPIN’

Oakland bassist,composer and singer Aneesa Al-Musawwir aka Aneesa Strings is a beautiful and super-talented indipendent artist able to deliver a sophisticated album with tasteful tints of jazz titled A Shift In Paradigm.
