Welcome to another exciting chapter of Class In Session series. For the 5th installment we selected brilliant and superb tunes by great singers,rappers,producers and musicians.

Not cool or catchy, we’re talking about serious joints that ooze quality and class.

TISH HYMAN – SUBWAY ART (PRODUCED BY TIMOTHY BLOOM, BINK! AND WILLIAM LARSEN)

Bronx born artist Tish Hyman can be described as a flawless singer with a serious attitude to drop dope bars. We are totally fascinated by her mature and solid approach to music. The single titled Subway Art is surely an amazing way to introduce her name .  The talented performer is currently working on her debut album titled Dedicated To ! Subway Art will make your skin shudder thanks a finest production handled by singer/songwriter/musician and producer Timothy Bloom (also member of the group Bobby Church ), William Wiik Larsen and Bink! (Jay-Z,Tamia,Nate Dogg,Faith Evans,Eve,Bow Wow and the list goes on).Make sure you to peep the official video of Subway Art.

THE SHADES – WAIT A MINUTE (BLUEVIBE STUDIO REMIX)

If you love the music performed by danish duo Quadron , maybe you will appreciate the soulful touch of The Shades an interesting ensamble from Auckland who impressed us with their self-titled EP. The project includes two joints Take Hold and Wait A Minute. In 2008 musician and producer Jason Fishwick released a delightful compilation titled The Life Vol.1 , including an excellent,supa-sexy treatment remix of Wait A Minute.

EARL SWEATSHIRT – QUEST/POWER (PRODUCED BY BUDGIE AND SAMIYAM)

Hats off to Odd Future affiliate Earl Swetshirt for the ultra-dope jam titled Quest/Power dropped 4 months ago via Soundcloud. The Los Angeleno rapper teamed up with U.K producer Budgie   and Samiyam.The production is amazing, and Earl’s voice fits like a puzzle over Budgie and Samiyam’s subdued,soulful and dark beat. SADE – I COULDN’T LOVE YOU MORE (MR. LEIGH’S BOOGIE REMIX)

New Zeland native producer Mr.Leigh resumed a classic record by Sade, Love Deluxe dropped in 1992 to cook an appealing treatment remix of I Couldn’t Love You More. Inspired by the sounds of R&B, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Jazz & Deep House the Melbourne based artist stimulated our senses with a compelling and relaxing remix. You can taste it lying comfortably by the pool side , drinking a cocktail.

OZ – THE SUN

French DJ/singer/producer Oz aka Zig16 touched our heart with his superlative music. We pay homage to this gifted artist died prematurely, selecting a real jewel titled The Sun from Beautiful EP (unreleased project). Rest in peace man!

MAC MILLER FEAT. SYD THA KYD AND THUNDERCAT – IN THE MORNING (PRODUCED BY THUNDERCAT AND THE INTERNET)

Two years ago Pittsburgh rapper/producer Mac Miller recorded and released Live From Space. The project consists of 9 live pieces and 5 unreleased jams almost entirely produced by The Internet. We selected the outastanding tune titled In the Morning featuring the warm voice of Syd of The Internet and virtuoso bassist Thundercat who co-produced the track.

JILL SCOTT – GOLDEN (THE SEAN-TOURE’ REMIX)

Baltimore producer/emcee Sean-Tourè piqued our interest with his oeuvre of remixes titled The Sean-Tourè Remix Video Project Volume 2 . The interesting work dropped in 2013 offers to you another perspective of  badass joints by Nas,Common,Dr.Dre,Pete Rock,Michael Jackson and many others. Mr. Tourè flexes his excellent skills as gifted remixer and to give you a clear proof we selected a superb treatment remix of a neo-soul classic by the queen, Jill Scott: Golden. Inspired by hip-hop legends such as A Tribe Called Quest, Little Brother, J. Dilla and  Pete Rock, Sean-Tourè represents an artist that deserves your attention !

J-88 – GET IT TOGETHER (MADLIB REMIX)

In 2000 Baatin,T3 and Jay Dee released the project titled Best Kept Secret under the moniker of J-88. The album consists of 7 pieces and 3 treatment remixes handled by Los Angeleno renowned producer Madlib and broken beat pioneer IG Culture.The unique and refreshing style of Madlib will hit your soul with the outstanding remix of Get It Together.Recently Slum Village dropped a brand new album titled Yes

DKD FEAT. RASIYAH AND TAMMARIAH – BRIGHTER DAY

Eclectic and versatile artist Dennis McFarlane aka Dego teamed up with musician/producer Kaidi Tatham and Darren Benjamin aka Daz-I-Kue (member of the well-respected production crew Bugz In The Attic ) to record a collaborative project titled Future Rage.The opus exudes future jazz,soul and broken beat sonorities for an intense journey. We selected for you the ultra-soulful Brigther Day with the buttery vocals of Rasiyah and Tammariah Lewis. In May Dego released a new work titled The More Things Stay The Same.

BREAK THROUGH FEAT. AMP FIDDLER – HIGHWAY 2 U

In 2005 an experimental trio consisting of  DJ Jin,DSK Invisible and Masaya Kobayashi released a  self-titled album where soul met hip-hop and broken beat. The result is a top-tier work as you can see listening to the amazing Highway 2 U featuring multifaceted artist Amp Fiddler who will seduce you with his vocal prowess.
