There is a thin line between neo-soul music and future soul.

On the one hand nu-soul is a fantastic genre that combines elements of soul, mellow hip-hop tones, modern r&b and jazz , on the other hand future soul is earning a wide following mixing jazz,soul,hip-hop surrounded by an electronic frame!

We can rattle off a long list of future soul artists/band who contributed to spread this interesting genre: New Sector Movements,Electric Wire Hustle,Quadron,Hiatus Kaiyote,Spacek,Eric Lau and the list goes on.

Today we continue to spread and promote future soul music recommending to our international audiences a great, solid, refined project titled Origami Space by Nothoya.

Nothoya is a parisian ensemble consisting of  bassist Fayçal Mabrouk, drummer Christophe Rudtmann, keyboardist Thomas Régny, guitarist Fabien Maurin, trumpeter Roman Didier and lead vocalist/keyboardist Laura Aguilar aka Auraa.

In May they released a 5 pieces project imbued with soulful, funky, jazzy, off-the-wall vibe for an incredible journey from start to finish.

As flavourful appetizer we suggest to listen to the centerpiece titled 32 Pads.

Make sure you to peep the video for the track titled Purple Queen
