Philly native jazz drummer Lil John Roberts is gearin’ up for his new studio album titled The Heartbeat scheduled for June 3. For da project the veteran bona-fide artist recruited  several jazz and neo -soul performers like: Musiq,Eric Roberson,Anthony David,Robert Glasper as well as the poetry of Ursula Rucker.

During his career Lil John Roberts made available his talent playing for a lot of acclaimed artists that surely represents a synonym of class like: Boney James,Vikter Duplaix,Vivian Green,Jeff Bradshaw,George Benson,Ledisi,Trina Broussard,Mark deClive Lowe,Jill Scott and he was involved with a live band called The Chronicle alongside DJ Kemit and other musicians playing good music at Atlanta venues.

But now we wanna share with you the second track from the forthcoming The Heartbeat. The song is titled Get Right and for the occasion Lil John Roberts decided to enlist DJ Sol Messiah (the man behind some works for TLC,Michael Jackson,Boyz II Men) and femcee Sa-Roc .

Wow , Get It Right is a mash up of hip-hop (well executed by the head-nodding bars by Sa-Roc and the dynamic scratches of Sol Messiah) and jazzy groove that shake literally your soul with Roberts thoughtful drum and the magnificent sound of the keyboard masterfully played by veteran musician Phil Davis, an artist the worked with sumptuous names like  Stanley Clarke, George Duke,Prince,Boney James, Dionne Farris,  Cee-Lo and Erykah Badu.
