Blue Note Record’s affiliate , Jose James continues to spread his quality music. In 2008 he released the debut album under Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings titled The Dreamer, two years leater he dropped the sophomore album Blackmagic.

In 2012 the talented jazz singer signed to Blue Note.One year later he launched No Beggining,No End  and last year  the wonderful While You Were Sleeping.

The countdown is over and Mr.James releases his third studio album under Blue Note , titled Yesterday I Had The Blues.

Yesterday I Had The Blues represents a delightfully inspired tribute to the jazz icon Billie Holiday and for this occasion Jose gives us a rare combination of subtlety, control, spontaneity, and….why not , a lil bit of swagger that confirms his excellent qualities as modern jazz performer.

The superb project includes the collaboration of jazz acts like Eric Harland (make sure you to grab his opus titled Vipassana) and jazz pianist Jason Moran.
