Australia is revealing itself like a prolific forge launching brand new interesting artists:  Hiatus Kayiote,Chet Faker,Ta-Ku!

Today we are buzzing to present a real and pure talent that we already mentioned on Stay Mellow: Jordan Rakei

Brisbane based artist definitely got the game as multiinstrumentalist as well as performer and thanks his lead single Selfish he put his name on the big music stage! We really appreciate his personal mash up of different style in particular reggae music and neo-soul vibes! His background is made of artists like D’Angelo,Bob Marley and James Blake.

One month ago the “enfant prodige” released his debut EP called Franklin’s Room!

Armed with keyboard, guitar and drum machine this spectacular artist realized a masterpiece combining elements of Reggae as you can see listening to Selfish,Get Up and Living In The Past with also neo-soul tipical smooth sounds with the tracks My Time,Hope and Imagine!

Franklin is the name of the street where Jordan lives and where as himself says: “where all my music magic happened. Franklin’s Room simply explains the process of the music you hear”

Scratchtheblock is so proud to recommend you an EP that represents one of the best project that we heard during this year!
