Toronto developed a signature sound that shaped the global music industry in a ground-breaking way. A fleet of producers rose from obscurity and launched their careers to dominate the international r&b/pop/hip-hop charts in a matter of a few years.

As we always say, producers hold the key to run the music world as well as to provide the trump card for the success of rappers and singers.

Noah “40” Shebib,T-Minus,Boi-1da,WondaGurl,Frank Dukes,Nineteen85,Doc Mckinney represent the prophets of the torontonian sound but if you are into old-school-esque hip-hop a la Jay Dee , you can fly to Canada west coast to lose your mind listening to the soulful beats of Potatohead People.

So Canada is fast becoming the “Mecca” of global music and it’s a pleasure for us to spotlight a marvelous r&b cut from a young and rising performer that goes by the name of JAHKOY.

In October the r&b crooner dropped the projet entitled Foreign Water recorded under the umbrella of Def Jam Records, earning positive reviews from the most influential urban media such as XXL,The Fader,Revolt,2DopeBoyz among others.

Acceptance V1 is Jahkoy last offering .

Jahkoy counts on da support of Los Angeles transplant hip-hop producer and co-owner of Elusive Orkestra label  Andre “Bizness Boi” Robertson, which incorporates downtempo, melodic and smoky undertones in order to provide the perfect backdrop.

Bizness Boi collaborated with a lot of well-known artists like Ovo affiliate Partynextdoor,Rayven Justice and Eric Bellinger among others.

The perfect combination between Jahkoy seductive vocals,Bizness Boi luscious beats and the pen of songwriter/producer Ye Ali gives us something that definitely fulfills our listening pleasures.
