DRAKE – WESTON ROAD FLOWS (PRODUCED BY NOAH “40” SHEBIB)
The question is: Is Aubrey Drake Graham a legend? Well,it’s not easy to answer this question for many reasons and obviously it depends on the criteria you decide to use: sales, reputation….personally we think an artist has a long way to go to prove to the world to be a legend,an icon….. so, in our humble opinion the Toronto artist is not a legend but he’s currently one of the most gifted artist that hip-hop and r&b music scene has to offer. He represents a rare example of a performer able to combine great skills as rapper and singer , his signature flow had a very strong impact on da hip-hop and r&b game and influenced real icons such as Erykah Badu who said
It was Drake’s song that helped me reboot the music hard drive inside of me
After releasing some leaks such as Summer Sixteen,Faithful,Controlla,Pop Style,One Dance and the viral hot jam Hotline Bling , Drizzy drops today his fourth album titled Views (originally Views From The 6) a sort of tribute to his hometown. The opus boasts apparances from Ovo Sound members PARTYNEXTDOOR,dvsn (who recently released the debut project titled Sept 5th) as well as Future,Pimp C,jamaican spitter Popcaan and Rihanna (who returns the favor after the duet for Work ). Scratchtheblock.com invites y’all to explore the sound of Views, selecting one of the most interesting song: Weston Road Flows. The song is masterfully produced by Noah “40” Shebib , a Drake longstanding partner-in-crime, who earned his stripes offering to the world a superior, distinctive sound. In this particular case 40 creates a sonic enviroment that oozes 90s downtempo vibrations and represents the perfect nostalgic foundation for the throwback to Drake’s past. Mr. Shebib enhances the track sampling a 1994 production by P.Diddy and Chucky Thompson for Mary J.Blige jam Mary’s Joint from her sophomore album My Life.
