scratchtheblock DJ PREMIER FEAT. ASAP FERG - OUR STREETSBetween 1992 and 1999 , Patrick Moxey and his own hip-hop imprint Payday Records gave us monumental hip-hop pieces such as Far From Yours by OC, Next Level by Showbiz & AG,Come Clean by Jeru The Damaja,Supa Star by New York hip-hop duo Group Home, In My Lifetime by Jay-Z as well as some experimental urban vibrations like Spiritual Love by U.K Urban Species.

Recently Mr. Moxey relaunched Payday Records and he did that in the best possible way, recruiting hip-hop guru DJ Premier and one of the most influential hip-hop act of the moment: A$AP Ferg.

For the occasion the Harlem rapper leaves  the gritty, street trap sound to grab the mic and bring back the old-school flow as Preemo told during an interview:

‘‘I wanna do it like you did it ’90s style’’

Premier continues

‘‘It’s dope, it’s straight raw New York. It’s Preem Ferg,it’s a Preem joint and he went in. The Ferg joint is head nod Preem, and it sounds like we connected, not Ferg over here and Premier over here, it’s merged together. It’s real simple but dope scratches.’’

the good chemistry between Preemo and Ferg in the studio gave us a head-nodding hip-hop joint entitled Our Streets finely cooked sampling two early ’70s records by soul quartet The Continental IV.

Ferg iz da fuel,Premier is the fire ………………enjoy the ride!!!
