BURNS TWINS FEAT. KAINA CASTILLO AND MACEO OF THE O'MY'S - LA LUNAWe have been singing the praise of the thriving Chicago music scene for a long time: Kids These Days,Social Experiment crew,Chance The Rapper,NoName Gypsy,The Highness Collective,THEMpeople,Via Rosa,SABA,Smino,Joey Purps,Eryn Allen Kane,Vic Mensa,Towkio,Mick Jenkins,Donnie Trumpet represent the lifeblood of the Chi-Town new wave, spreading innovation and above all quality music.

Recently we stumbled upon an excellent project wrapped up masterfully by some interesting names that deserve your attention.

The project we’ll talk about is titled Sweet Asl and the artists involved are Burns Twins, Kaina Castillo and Andrew Bedows.

Burns Twins is a duo composed by two talented brothers Eddie Burns and Iz Burns. Eddie is a composer, arranger, producer and drummer (he started to learn drums taking lessons from These Days former musician and currently drummer for SoX band , Greg Landfair Jr. aka Stix) and Iz Burns is a producer and trumpeter (his mentor is the skilful musician Nico Segal aka Donnie Trumpet).

Kaina Castillo is the voice!

Her airy, delectable and intoxicating vocal prowess is just like the Odysseus’s siren which entertained the sailors with beautiful melodies (and yap…just like siren, Kaina kills you , in a positive sense, letting your mind in a kinda of intimate rapture).

Chicago producer Andrew Bedows completes what seems to be a supa-fresh quartet, ready to show an organic sound where jazz,hip-hop and soul are merged together to provide something special.

Scratchtheblock.com highly recommends to listen closely the superlative song titled La Luna featuring singer/guitarist and co-founder of Chicago outfit The O’My’s Maceo Haymes
