BLU - SOUL PROVIDER (BHONSTRO REMIX) scratchtheblockRecently on our 10th installment of The Remix Session series we spotlighted an amazing treatment remix of Blu & Exile’s Soul Provider handled by irish beatmaker Liam Carroll . The underground hip-hop piece is a classic and a lot of beatmakers/producers drew inspiration from the outstanding production by Exile Manfredi in order to create something new and original. We can mention Phillipe Edison  and Moods among others.

Mellow Orange affiliated Bhonstro delivers a special treat for the hip-hop lovers , remixing Soul Provider, flexing his signature jazzy boom-bap supa-style and delighting our ears with a classy revisitation of one the most impressive jam by losangeleno rapper Blu. Bhonstro takes advantage of legendary jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal’s piece entitled Dolphin Dance, borrowed by a lot of hip-hop producers such as No I.D,Black Metaphor,Madlib,Kero One and Lee Bannon.

The Las Vegas producer popped up under radar in 2012 through an impressive jazzy vintage production for Las Vegas singer Arima Ederra called Questions featuring Blu,included on Earth To Arima
