SCRATCHTHEBLOCK AB-SOUL FEAT. MAC MILLER AND RAPSODY - THE LAW (PRODUCED BY BENTLEY HAZE) California-born rapper Herbert Anthony Stevens IV aka Ab-Soul dropped his fourth album entitled  Do What Thou Wilt via Top Dawg Entertainment label.

As Soulo explained, it’s a concept project which takes as its starting point the ideology of british occultis Aleister Crowley and it revolves around the philosphy behind Crowley central sacred text of Thelema called Liber AL vel Legis.

The new effort is packed with guest artists such as Dreamville’s rapper Bas,Teedra Moses,Soulo label mates Schoolboy Q (fresh of two grammy nominations in the category “Best Rap Album” and “Best Rap Performance”) Punch and SZA.

The production is handled by TDE in-house production collective Digi+Phonics ( Sounwave,Willie B (check out his recent production for Mickey Taelor) and Tae Beast) , Wondagurl,DJ Fu (in-house producer for Mike WiLL Made-It production company EarDrummers Entertainment) and others.

Scratchtheblock.com selected the most impressive piece of the entire opus: The Law.

The beyond amazing track is a compelling collabo along side Pittsburgh rapper/producer Mac Miller (check out his The Divine Feminine) and Jamla Records affiliate Rapsody (who returns the favor to Ab-Soul for his contribution to Crown EP).

The Law is flawlessly produced by rising hip-hop architect Bentley Haze, which had the pleasure to works with several big names such as Freddie Gibbs and Schoolboy Q.

The L.A based producer took advantage of a classic neo-soul production handled by Raphael Saadiq and Jake and The Phatman, sampling Brotha by South Carolina sistah Angie Stone.

The result is a captivating feel-good hip-hop piece about love!
